Schoenemann, Henry (6 AUG 1827 - 18 FEB 1907)
Henry Schoenemann died at his home in this village (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) last Monday forenoon at 11 o'clock, after a lingering illness of several months, at the ripe old age of 80. He was born in the Grand Duchess of Weimer, Germany, Aug. 6, 1827, and came to America in 1867, and to Clark County, town of Green Grove, in March 1885. After he sold his farm and moved to Dorchester in 1900. Mr. and Mrs. Schoenemann were the parents of 8 children, of which two are dead, Albert, who was shot dead by a highwayman at Seattle, Wash., while on the police force. The deceased leaves to mourn his death his wife and six children, Richard of Seattle, Mrs. Herman Wachsmuth of Green Grove, Mrs. Albert Eschwig, Seattle, Charley of Fenwood, Mrs. Fred Glenzer, Green Grove and Mrs. Lewis Saunders of East Grand Forks, Minn.
The remains were taken to Green Grove Wednesday and the funeral was held Thursday afternoon after brief services at the home of this daughter, Mrs. Fred Glenzer. Rev. Vitchonkee and Student Heschke, officiating.
The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire community.
