Rites set For Mrs. Frank Washburn
Neillsville Woman--Dies Tuesday Night
Neillsville-Services for 69 year-old, Mrs. Elizabeth C. Washburn,
route 2, Neillsville, will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday in the
Evangelical and Reformed Church, Humbird. Elizabeth suffered
a stroke in the Neillsville Hospital at 10:30 P.M. Thursday.
Burial will be made in the town of Mentor Cemetery, Humbird, the
Rev. Virgil W. Nulton officiating. The body will lie in state at
the Bergemann Funeral Home until Saturday Morning when it will be
taken to the Church to lie in state until time of service.
Mrs. Washburn, nee Taylor, was born in Jackson county December 6,
1880 and attended Jackson county schools. Following her
marriage to Frank W. Washburn, they lived and farmed near Humbird
until 1933. After that, they and moved to a farm west of
Neillsville, Clark County, Wisconsin where she lived at the time of
her death. Her husband died about 10 days ago. She was
a member of the Evangelical & Reformed Church of Humbird.
She is survived by her children--Dermont, Wesley, and Milton, all
of Eau Claire, and Asa of Neillsville.
One child, Elmer, preceded his mother in death. There are 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A sister, Margaret Jennings of Humbird, and a Brother, Asa Taylor Dancy, also survive.
