Flynn, Ruane Allison (20 Dec 1844 - 26 Sep 1897)
Ruane Allison Flynn, wife of James Flynn of this city (Neillsville,
Clark County), died in Chicago Sunday, Sept. 26, 1897.
Deceased was born in Westford, Otsego County, N.Y., Dec. 20, 1844.
She came with her parents to Wisconsin in April 1856, and settled
at Afton, where she was married to James Flynn in 1869. She leaves
surviving her, her husband, James Flynn, who has for several year
been the engineer on the passenger train running from Merrillan to
Marshfield, three daughters, Mrs. F. O. Balch, Jessie and Hazel
Flynn and two sons, Floyd and Arthur, all of Neillsville also her
aged father, John Allison and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Southard and
Mrs. C. N. Nye of Beloit, Wis. and a sister at St. Paul, Mrs. T. A
Searles.
Mrs. Flynn has resided with her family on the North Side in this
city for several years and had a large circle of acquaintances her
who join in extending heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
She was a lady who had the love and respect of all her
acquaintances and the loss will long be felt, not only in the
family circle, but throughout the vicinity in which she has
lived.
The body was brought from Chicago to this city for interment and
the funeral took place from the residence Wednesday afternoon, Rev.
G. N. Foster of the M.E. Church, officiating.
