Taylor, Caroline T. (21 Aug 1859 - 8 Jan
1899)
Mrs. Caroline T. Taylor died last Sunday
night at her home in this city (Neillsville, Clark County).
Deceased was the wife of Jas. G. Taylor, the well known builder and
contractor of this city. She was born Aug. 21, 1859, at Pewaukee,
Wis., and moved while yet a child with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Jas. Billings, to Pleasant Ridge, where she grew to womanhood. She
was married to Mr. Taylor Nov. 18, 1877, and the first two years of
their married life were spent at Medford, Wis., moving from there
to Pleasant Ridge. Her home has been in this city for the past
fifteen years.
Her death was caused by spinal trouble from which she has been a
patient sufferer for the past five years. Funeral services were
held Wednesday, Jan. 11th, at two p.m., Rev. Foster preaching the
sermon.
She was a charter member of the Eastern Star order was associate
matron for a period of three years, and was buried under their
auspices. A true wife and a woman beloved by all. Her taking away
from our midst is a great loss, but she is free from suffering and
has joined the Father above.
