Ross, Andrew (2 Jul 1838 - 1 Apr 1900)


Andrew Ross died at his home in Kansas City, Mo., April 1st, 1900. He formerly lived here and removed to the west some time ago on account of poor health. Andrew Ross, son of Robert and Margaret Ross, was born at Cranbourn, Co., Dorchester, Province of Quebec, July 2, 1838. He was married March 5, 1875, to Lucinda Garvin of Pine Valley, Clark County. They have three daughters, Sarah Margaret, Violet Maud and Florence Lucinda, all of whom survive him. Sarah is the wife of James Foster of Kansas City, John Ross, of this city, is a brother and Mrs. Thos. Garvin of Pine Valley, is a sister of the deceased. The funeral was held Wednesday at two o'clock p.m., Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. The A.O.U.W., of which order he was a member, attended the funeral and conducted the ceremony at the cemetery.
