Crowley, Thomas J. (8 May 1873 - 19 Sep 1927)
Thomas J. Crowley of Pittsville died suddenly on Monday of last week at Gleason, Wis., while on a fishing trip in that vicinity.
Mr. Crowley was born at Petersboro, Ont., Canada, on May 8, 1873, and in 1882 came to Thorp, Clark County, Wis. with his parents, where he grew to manhood. He was employed in the banks at Withee and Owen for a time and later assumed the position of cashier in the bank at Pittsville, and also served as postmaster at Pittsville for several years. Nov. 3, 1908, he was united in marriage to Miss Dawn Coty, who with two sons, and his sister, Mrs. Frank Hedler of the town of Reseburg, are the only close relatives left to mourn his sudden death.
The body was brought to Thorp and the funeral took place from St. Bernard's Church on Thursday morning last, interment following in the Catholic Cemetery.
Aside from the relatives, a large delegation of friends from Pittsville came here to attend the funeral.
