Butler, Isaac (6 Dec 1868 - 31 Oct 1927)

 

Isaac Homer Butler, son of Geo. A. and Nancy Butler, was born at Nelson, Buffalo Co., Wis., on Dec. 23, 1868, and died at the Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire, Wis., on Oct. 31, 1927, aged 58 years, 10 months and 8 days. When a boy he came with his parents to a farm near Augusta, Wis., and later to a farm in what is now the town of Foster, Clark County. When a young man he purchased land and settled in what is now the town of Butler, where he resided until his death. In 1917 he was married to Mrs. Rose Hoye of Eau Claire, who survives him. His father, mother, two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. Besides the wife he is survived by three brothers, William C. and David N., of the town of Butler, and Geo. M. of the town of Foster, one sister, Mrs. A. F. Cole of Foster, a stepson, Ralph Hoye, and a foster daughter, Bessie Doris, who has lived with the family since infancy, and by other relatives. Funeral Sermon was preached at the Butler schoolhouse by Rev. Wolf, on the afternoon of Wednesday, Nov. 2, after a short service at the home, and interment was made in the Butler Cemetery.
