Warden, Reuben (5 Mar 1848 - 23 Nov 1927)
Reuben Warden died at the home of his son, Harry Warden, in the town of Thorp, Clark County, Wis. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 1927, of old age and general debility. Mr. Warden was born at Theresa, Jefferson Co., N.Y., on March 5, 1848, where he grew to manhood. He came to Clark county in 1874, homesteading 160 acres in the town of Thorp, where he has since made his home. For many years he took a prominent part in local affairs, serving as supervisor of Thorp township and school clerk for a number of years. His wife preceded him in death seven years ago. The children left to mourn a kind and indulgent father are: Harry, Guy of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Louis Hakes of Cornell, Charles of Iowa, Edward of Cornell, James of Cadott, Edna and Mrs. Walter Brenner.
The funeral took place on Saturday last from the church at Eidsvold, Rev. Davies of Stanley conducting the services, burial following in the Eidsvold Cemetery.
