Walsdorf, Helena (1 Aug 1863 - 26 Dec 1927)
Mrs. Wm. Walsdorf died very suddenly at her home in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on Monday evening, Dec. 26th, 1927. On Sunday, the day previous, she had entertained her children at dinner and was evidently enjoying usual good health. Somewhat tired she retired early and upon investigation a short time later she was found dead. She was born at Hausbech, Germany on Aug. 1, 1863, and came to this country at the age of two years with her parents who located at Fond du Lac, where she spent her girlhood. On April 27, 1880, she was united in marriage to Wm. Walsdorf of New Holstein. After residing on a farm near New Holstein for three years the family moved to a farm in the town of Worden on June 2, 1884, and six years later moved to this village, which has since been their home. Deceased had reached the age of 64 years, 4 months and 26 days. She leaves to mourn, her husband Wm. Walsdorf, two sons, Louis P. and Joseph A. Walsdorf, and one daughter, Mrs. Richard Brunner, and one brother, Peter Els, all of Thorp.
Her home instincts were strong, her affections for friends and kindred was tender and abiding.
Funeral services will take place this (Thursday) morning from St. Bernard's Church, Father Dominic officiating. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery.
