Etta, Irvin (1927 - 1994)
Irvin Lawrence Etta, 67, Greenwood, Clark
County, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 1994, at the House of the Dove,
Marshfield. No funeral services were held.
Irvin Lawrence Etta was born on Feb. 20, 1927, in Loyal, to Arthur
and Julia (nee Radke) Etta.
He worked for Plautz Bros. Construction in Greenwood until entering
the U.S. Army in April 1945. He served until Dec. 1946, and then
went back to Plautz Bros. Until 1951. He then worked for Allis
Chalmers until 1963. In May of 1963, he and his brother, Leonard,
Purchased Pleasant Ridge Tavern in the town of Mead and operated
the business until Dec. 1964. He then did welding repair until
1969, and then went to work for Boon Bros. Construction in
Neillsville until his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed hunting and
fishing.
Survivors include his mother, Julia, of Neillsville three brothers,
Arnold (Angela) Etta, Sedro Woolley, Wash. Leonard (Sally) Etta,
Wonder Lake, Ill. and Clifford (Sandra) Schofield, Greenwood two
sisters, Arlene (Frank) Thomas, Neillsville and Ruth Kippenhan,
Greenwood and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father his step-father, Robert
Schofield and one brother, Melvin Etta.
Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
