FLORENCE HILL (1910 - 1995)
Florence E. Hill, 84, Greenwood, Clark
County, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 1995, at North Western Memorial
Hospital, Ill. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on
Saturday, Jan. 7, 1995, at Grace United Methodist Church,
Greenwood. Rev. Jenny Schroeder will officiate. Visitations will be
from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Florence Bergen was born on Feb. 11, 1910, in Prairie du Chien, to
Thomas and Emma Bergen. She received her education in Prairie du
Chien. She graduated from Mount Mary College, Milwaukee. She worked
in Madison until she married Truman B. Hill on Dec. 28, 1945. They
moved from Viroqua to Greenwood in 1952.
Survivors include two daughters, Trudy Hill, Richmond, Cal. and
Judy Hill, Chicago, Ill. two granddaughters and two sisters,
Caroline Linzenmeyer and Rilla Bergen.
She was preceded in death by her parents her husband one sister and
one brother.
