James Christenson Jr., 68, formerly of Loyal, died Thursday, July 29, 2004, at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home, Milwaukee, after a courageous battle with cancer. A Mass will be held Aug. 13, in West Allis. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
James Christenson Jr. was born Dec. 6, 1935, in Loyal, to James and Mathilda Christenson. He attended St. Anthony’s Parochial School and Loyal High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force and served four years at Lackland Air Force Bars, Texas. He married Mary Ellen Carley, and they were later divorced. He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting and fishing.
Survivors include two sisters, Jeanne [Michael] Mike, West Allis, and Janet [Donald] Hills, Loyal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
