CELEBRATE SILVER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY OCTOBER 31
Saturday evening, Oct. 31, neighbors and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Hoftiezer to assist them in celebrating their silver wedding anniversary. Mrs. A. C. Elliott and Mrs. Wm. Kommers helped the host and hostess and they enacted the marriage ceremony performed 25 years ago.
A. C. Elliott was officiating "parson" and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kommers were the attendants. Miss Theone Elliott played the customary "Here Comes the Bride" after which appropriate songs such as "Put On Your Old Gray Bonnet" and "Silver Threads Among the Gold," etc., were sung. Cards were played and lunch was served. A purse of silver was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Hoftiezer.
