Mrs. Martha Nichols Dies Friday Night
Mother of Mrs. Peter Wiltgen and Mrs. William Schuh Passed Away in Town of Spencer Friday; Services Monday Afternoon.
Mrs. Martha Nichols, aged 69 years died Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Peter Wiltgen in the town of Spencer after a short illness. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. Christian Science funeral services were held at the Co-Op. funeral Home in Marshfield Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock.
Mrs. Nichols, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred A. Luder, was born August 28, 1872 in Sheboygan. Shortly after her birth the family moved to Greenwood where she spent her early years. She was married in Ogema August 26, 1891, and lived in Superior following her marriage. The family then moved to Sparta where they lived for several years and then returned to Greenwood. Some time later the family moved to Stevens Point. For the past 16 years, since the death of her husband, she has made her home in Spencer township and in Minneapolis. Surviving the deceased are three daughters, Mrs. Peter (Edna) Wiltgen and Mrs. William (Mabel) Schuh of town of Spencer; and Mrs. John (Evelyn) Miller of Minneapolis; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Frank of Park Falls; Otto of Marshfield and Max, of Forrestville, N. Y. and two sisters, Mrs. Eda Freeze of Wilmingotn, N. D. and Mrs. Amelia Moore of Drummond.
