Miller, Lydia Caroline (19 August 1883 - 1 January 1966)

 

Mrs. Lydia Caroline Miller, life-long resident of Greenwood, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Erna Wehrman, in Greenwood.

 

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Immanuel United Church of Christ. The Rev. Orval Egbert officiated. Burial was made in the West Side Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Miller was born August 19, 1883, in the Town of Mead. She was the daughter of William and Marie (Dohmeier) Reineking.  On May 17, 1905, she was married to Albert Miller at the home of her parents. Mr. Miller died July 13, 1950.

 

After their marriage they lived on a farm four and a half miles west of Greenwood, now owned by their son, Arno. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Miller has made her home with her children.  She was a member of Immanuel United Church and its Women’s Guild.

 

Survivors include: a son, Arno; two daughters, Mrs. Erna Wehrman and Mrs. Walter (Martha) Decker, all of Greenwood; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Reineking of Grand Marsh; four sisters, Mrs. William (Hilda) Becker and Miss Selma Reineking of Milwaukee, Mrs. Meda Vollrath of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Amelia Decker of Sheridan, Wyo.
