Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Zenker of Park Falls were guests recently at the Henry Rau home in Dorchester.
Mrs. Ed Sauter entertained her bridge club last week Monday evening. Mrs. Alvin Holzhausen and Mrs. M. S. Sorenson had high scores.
Mr. and Mrs. Brecke and three children have returned to Dorchester form a two-week Florida vacation.
Recent guests at the Joe Dessl home in Dorchester were their son, Frank Dessl and family, of Tomahawk.
Mrs. Clarence Miller has returned to her home in Milwaukee after spending a week with her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Mehner, Jr., and family in Dorchester.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Genrich and the Jerome Ludwig family of Dorchester visited one Sunday at the Leon Chapman home in Black River Falls.
Daniel C. Alger of the navy left recently from Minneapolis, Minn., for Treasure Island to join his squadron in Hawaii. He was accompanied to Minneapolis by Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Alger and Jay Alger of Thorp, with whom he had spent his leave.
Dale Lee of Stanley and Bill Adkins of Little Rock, Ark., were evening guests recently at the Bernard Burzynski home in Thorp. Both men have returned after spending two years of military service in Anchorage, Alaska.
William Butek, Jr., has returned to his home in Pomona, Calif., after spending several days in Thorp with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William T. Butek, Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Alois Olichwier and daughter of Naperville, Ill., were recent dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Ebben of Thorp.
Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Ebben of Thorp attended funeral ser4vices for George Schunk, held in Stanley.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Herman of Thorp had their children home during a recent weekend. Coming to help their mother, Mrs. Herman, observed her 81st birthday were Mrs. Mae Pawlicki and Mrs. Helen Phillips of Franklin Park, Ill.; Mrs. Theresa Weiss of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Agnes Maas of Melrose Park, Ill.; Mrs. Eleanor Rizzo of Schiller Park, Ill.; and Mrs. Dorothy Rubeck of Carpentersville, Ill. Those from Thorp included Mrs. Clara Ebben, Mrs. Anna Schmidt, Mrs. Bertha Dudansky and Mrs. Jeanette Bogumill.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bradley of Jim Falls were guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Benzschawel of Thorp.
Recent weekend guests of Bert Hubbard of Thorp were his daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Marc Wagener and three children of Muskego.
Mrs. Frank Stewart of Thorp is spending several days in Wilton with her son, Glen Warner, and (part cut-off).
