Thayer, David E. (? - 12 January 1966)

Word has been received in Neillsville of the death in River Falls of David Thayer January 12.  Mr. Thayer, a former Neillsville photographer, suffered a fall the week before and later was stricken with pneumonia.

Funeral services were held Saturday in River Falls.  Burial was made in a cemetery near Spring Valley.

For many yeas Mr. Thayer operated a photo studio in Neillsville, later selling it to Wilfred B. Galstad.

While in Neillsville he was a member of the First Congregational Church and served as its treasurer for many years.  He was a member of the Neillsville Rotary Club and had been a member of the local school board.

He is survived by his wife and a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Aralda Rose) Larson of Cuba City.

Mr. and Mrs. John Mattson of Neillsville attended the services Saturday.
