Koperski, Victoria (23 December 1910 - 17 April 2012)
Early on the morning of April 17, 2012, the Lord called Victoria home. Vicki, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 23, 1910, to Albert and Agnes Kowalczyk. Her childhood was spent in Montana and Wisconsin. She lived most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida, where she and her beloved husband, Joe, raised their family.
Vicki was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, the Guild, Young of Heart Club, and the Catholic Women’s Club. She was a Charter Member of the Polish American Club of North East Florida and Life Member of the Florida Lions Club and All Saints Foundation. For the past 10 years she has lived in Texas with her daughter, Janet, and son-in-law, Bo.
Vicki is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, Joe Koperski; brothers: Walter, Leo and Roman Kowalczyk; and sister, Mary Leshuk.
She is survived by her daughters: Barbara Sieck and Janet Fennell; granddaughters; Michelle Pandza, Jennifer Sieck, and Stacy Fennell; grandson, Joseph Fennell, and his wife, Trisha; and two great-grandchildren; Maddison and Wyatt Fennell; her sister, Adeline Liszewski; and brothers: Edward, Allen and Casimer Kowalczyk; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Vicki was a sweet and gentle lady who was loved by all her family and everyone who was fortunate enough to know her; she will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all.
A visitation was held on Saturday, April 21, 2012, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Forest Park Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. A funeral Mass and burial took place in Thorp, Wisconsin on Tuesday April 24, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church with a visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to your favorite charity.
