The How and Why Homemakers met Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Wayne Voss, with Mrs. Francis Brey presiding. Roll call was responded to by "A new skill we would like to develop this year."
The plans for Achievement Day project on India were discussed. The project on "Know Yourself as a Woman" was given by Mrs. Brey. The project included a quiz and a skit.
The next meeting will be held February 16 at the home of Mrs. Tom Querin. Mrs. Julia Koci will be the project leader on, "House Plants" or "Low Cost Family Vacations." Mrs. Querin will give a report on the project and Mrs. Wayne Voss will show slides on India at this meeting.

Members of the Schmitz family gathered Sunday at the Burnell Yaeger home to honor members of the family who have birthdays in January. Honorees were Robert Kocher, Hubert Schmitz, James Yaeger, Mrs. Joe Herr, Ronald Kocher and Jeanne Kocher.
Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bertz, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bertz, Jr., and daughters of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bertz, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Herr and family, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Schmitz and son, Richard, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kocher and family and the Burnell Yaeger family.
