Central Clark County (3 February 1966)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hills of Loyal were sponsors recently for Dean Francis, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Slaby of Loyal, who was baptized by the Rev. Norbert E. King in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal.

 

The Cole’s Corner Homemaker club held their January meeting at the home of Mrs. Dever Green.  Following a report by Mrs. Dennis Larson on the Day Care Center she has in her home, gifts were exchanged. The next meeting is planned for February 16 at the home of Mrs. Herman Lieske. This will be a Valentine party.

 

Mrs. George Pabisch of McAllen, Tex., has returned home after spending a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kronberger, in York.

 

The York anniversary group was entertained at the home of Mrs. Rollie Benedict of rural Loyal.  Present were Mr. and Mrs. Louie Gunia, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hetzel and Mr. and Mrs. Nyle Benedict. A gift was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Benedict.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ellison have returned to Loyal from Hustisford, where they spent several weeks with friends and relatives. Their son, Dan Ellison, drove there for them.

 

Albert Davel is convalescing at his home in Loyal since returning home for the Marshfield hospital.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Pat Anderson of Augusta were recent guests at the J. R. Colby home in Loyal.

 

Miss Shelby Trindal has returned to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire after spending the semester break with her mother, Mrs. W. W. Trindal of Loyal.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Meyer and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Weyer drove to Spring Valley recently, where they spent the day visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kapping.

 

Recent dinner guests at the Robert Prior home in Loyal were Mrs. George Pabisch of McAllen, Tex., Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kronberger, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Kronberger and family of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kronberger and children of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Lavey of Nekoosa, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Kronberger of Wisconsin Rapids.

 

Bob Young, who spent four days in Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, has returned home.

 

Dr. and Mrs. E. M. Trnka of Loyal drove to Phillips recently, taking their daughter, Kathryn, to her new duties as vocal instructor in the junior and senior high school.  Kathryn recently returned home from Los Angeles, Cal., making the trip by jet plane. 

 

David Helms, son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Helms of Loyal, is a surgical patient in University Hospital in Madison, having undergone surgery.
