McCarthy, Edith (1880? - 15 SEP 1960)

Mrs. Ben McCarthy (Edith, nee Melbinger) of 2118-A W. Wright St., Milwaukee, Wis., passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 1960, at the home of her son Sylvester, McCarthy, of 4901 W. Custer Ave., Milwaukee, at the age of 80 years.

Beloved mother of Emmett, Sylvester (Jack), Eileen Wnukowski, Robert and Ruth Wendlandt of Delafield, sister of Joseph Melbinger of Owen, Wis., and Rose Prehn of Hillside, Ill.; further survived by 3 daughters-in-law, 2 sons-in-law, 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.  Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 19 at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home of Frank A. Zwaska and Sons, corner of N. 24^th and W. Center Streets, to Mother of Perpetual Help Church, N. 55^th at W. Villard, Milwaukee, at 9:30 a.m.  Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery.

The deceased was a former resident of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis. many years ago.
