Millus, Frances (25 NOV 1885 - 15 OCT 1960)
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J. Hoffman in St. Bernard’s Catholic
Church here at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday for Mrs. Frances Millus, 74, of Thorp (Clark
Co., Wis.), who died of a stroke Saturday afternoon in Victory Memorial Hospital
at Stanley. Burial will be made in St. Bernard’s Cemetery. The
former Frances Okonski was born Nov. 25, 1885 in Poland and was married in
Collinsville, Ill., U.S.A. on June 2, 1902, to Matthew Millus. She moved to
Thorp following her husband’s death in 1946. She was a member of St. Bernard’s
Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers Society. She
is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Truman (Alvina) Pringle, Coalinga, Calif.,
and Mrs. Mike (Christine) Jankowski, Stanley; five grandchildren; a brother,
Harry Okonski, Owen, and a sister, Mrs. Sophia Machinski, Collinsville, Ill.
