Yellow, orchid and white mums decorated the altar of St. Peter and Paul Catholic
church at Gilman for the 25th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs.
Aloys Van Den Heuvel. Saint Agnes Choir sang the High Mass, with Leonard Butek
singing the same "Ave Maria" that was sung for the wedding. Mr.
and Mrs. (nee Gertrude Schmitt) Van Den Heuvel were married on Oct. 22, 1935 at
St. Cloud, Minn. Their attendants were Helen (nee Van Den Heuvel) Trybowski and
Bernard Schmitt, who was unable to attend. Edward Trybowski took his place for
the event. They
now have seven children, Mrs. Richard Witschen (Marianne), Swanville, Minn.,
Bernard of Medford, Virginia of Minneapolis, Beatrice, Annette, Dick and Harry,
all at home. They also have two grandchildren. A
reception for 200 guests was held at Koolmo’s Club, with guests attending from
St. Cloud, Minn., Minneapolis, Minn., Milwaukee, Kaukauna, Medford, Stanley,
Thorp and Gilman. A dance was held in the evening with the Jolly Polkateers
supplying the music.
