Alan Meyer claimed Miss Dianne Kolbeck as his bride during a 10 a.m. nuptial ceremony at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Hewitt, Saturday, Oct. 11. The Father Bernard Henry officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Kolbeck, Auburndale, R 1 and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leo Meyer of Loyal.

 

The bride selected a floor length dress of hand clipped imported rose point lace and tulle over taffeta. The neckline as of rose point lace and trimmed with pearl and sequins and the sleeves tapered to a point at the wrist. Her veil of nylon tulle illusion, fell from a double crown. It was trimmed with pearls and sequins. Her bouquet was a white orchid with sprays of stephonatis on a white prayer book.

 

The maid of honor, Dorene Kolbeck, sister of the bride, wore a gold floor length crystallite dress over taffeta styled with a drape neckline and fitted bodice with princess lines and skirt with a bow detail in back. A feathered half hat held her matching veil and she carried a basket of gold and bronze mums and purple bachelor buttons. The bridesmaids, Rita Brost, Marshfield, friend of the bride and Mrs. Richard Breu, Auburndale, cousin of the bride, wore purple formals, identical to the maid of honor and carried baskets of gold and bronze mums and bachelor buttons.

 

Pfc. Duane Kolbeck, brother of the bride, Ft. Gordon, Georgia, Roger Schill, Wis. Rapids, cousin of the bride; and Richard Breu, Auburnedale, cousin of the bride, were groomsmen. Richard Esselman, cousin of the groom, Greenwood and David Schill, cousin of the bride, Wis. Rapids, were ushers. Kristine Knack, Loyal, niece of the groom and Carol O’Rielly, Marshfield, cousin of the bride were flower girls and wore purple formals similar to the bidesmaids. Vicki Rudell, Wausau, cousin of the bride was miniature bride and Charles Hilgart, Auburndale, a cousin of the bride was ring bearer.

 

The Senior Choir of St. Michael’s Catholic Church sang Nuptial High Mass

 

The bride’s mother wore an embroidered taffeta dress with velvet trim, sapphire blue grey, matching hat with black accessories.

 

A dinner reception followed by supper and a wedding dance was held at the Marshfield Armory.

 

The bride is a graduate of Columbus High School and prior to marriage was employed by Dr. R. H. Wink of Marshfield.

 

Her husband is a graduate of Loyal High School and is employed at Michaels Dry Cleaning in Amery

 

Out of town guests were from Loyal, Auburndale, Marshfield, Greenwood, Wausau, Wis. Rapids, Milwaukee and Granton.

 

The couple will make their home in Amery following a northern Minnesota wedding trip.
