Willam Demuth, 45, of Loyal died Saturday evening at Neillsville in the Memorial Hospital. He had been ill for the past two months.
He was born in Junction City, October 29, 1912 and was married to Ada Raus, in Waukon, Iowa August 31, 1937. He moved to Greenwood as a small child and lived there until his marriage when they moved to a farm in the Loyal area.
He served as clerk and treasurer on the school board of Mack and Pleasant View Schools. A general rosary service was held Monday evening at the Myre Funeral home.
The funeral was held at Myre’s Funeral Home Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Edward Hartung of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood officiating and burial was in the Loyal cemetery.
The deceased is survived by his wife, four daughters, Sue, of Milwaukee; Connie, Corinne, and Kay; two sons, Wayne and Michael at home; one brother, Robert, of Gillman; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Peterson, Ladysmith; Mrs. Clara Forrest, Pine Bluff. Arkansas; and Mrs. Emily Rondorf, Greenwood.
