Veda Selves is better and sits up some daily since the first of the week.
Mrs. Arthur Drescher and son Donald, with Miss Clara Drescher, were Sunday guests at Clemens Kuechenmeister’s.
Mrs. Fred Vine, Mrs. Geo. Vine and Mrs. Jim King entertained the aid at the home of the former, Wednesday.
Mrs. Albert Scholtz is slowly mending.
Mrs. Herman Braatz had a birthday surprise party last Saturday evening when some 35 of her friends and neighbors came in an took possession of the house, and after music and games, topped off the night with an oyster supper.
Mr. and Mrs. Will West and son Donald and Miss Pexa spent Tuesday with the Otis Slocomb family.
Ernest Slocomb, after an extended visit with his sister Mrs. Will West, leaves for Beach, N.D. again next week.
Herman Handt had a sand bee the first of this week.
Eugene Short and Victor Counsell are at Madison since Sunday on a combination business and pleasure trip and visiting Dan Hughes.
Despite the weather and bad roads the ladies aid at Mrs. Fred Vine’s was well attended and something over $9 was taken in. The guests came in three big sleigh loads and two cutters.
