Morgal, Katherina (24 December 1882 - 19 February1966)

 

Mrs. Katherina Morgal, 83, of Waukegan, Ill., formerly of Willard, died Saturday morning at a hospital in Kenosha of pneumonia.

 

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood, and at 10 a.m. from the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard.  Burial was made in Holy Family Cemetery. The Rev. William Nikolai officiated.

 

The former Katherina Bukovec was born December 24, 1882, in Yugoslavia. She was married to John Morgal in 1898.  They came to Willard in 1909 from Ely, Minn., and settled on a farm 11 miles southwest of Greenwood.  Mr. Morgal died in 1947.  Mrs. Morgal lived in Willard until she went to Waukegan to make her home.

 

Survivors include: four daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Marie) Sheppard, Mrs. Matt (Jennie) Velcover and Mrs. Stanley (Amelia) Mlinar, all of Waukegan and Mrs. Robert (Rose) Henchman of Cardiff, Calif.; a son, Joseph, of Houston, Tex.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
