EVELYN VOELKER IS MARRIED TO LENARD LENZ SUNDAY

 

Miss Evelyn Voelker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Voelker of the town of Spencer, was united in marriage to Lenard Lenz of Oshkosh Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Trinity Lutheran church parsonage, Rev. Stapel performing the ceremony.  The bride was gowned in rose botany wool and accessories to match her dress.  She wore a shoulder bouquet.  The attendants were brotherinlaw and sister of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Groh.  Mrs. Groh was gowned in a [unreadable] blue dress with black slipper and wore a gold locket given to her by the bride.

 

Dinner was served at two o’clock at the home of the bride’s brotherinlaw and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Korth, 45 guests being present.  Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. George Rolph of Chester, Mont., Mr. and Mrs. Art Nee of Oshkosh; Mrs. Walter Stinert and son and daughter of Oshkosh; Walter Lenz, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Allison and Mr. and Mrs. Art Pieper of Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pieper of Clintonville.

 

The bride is well known in Spencer and is a graduate of the Spencer high school of the class of 1929.  She has been employed in Oshkosh for some time where the groom is also employed and where the newlyweds will make their future home.  Mr. and Mrs. Lenz will leave Friday for Oshkosh, after visiting with numerous relatives and friends in Spencer.  A wedding dance was given at Municipal hall in Spencer Sunday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Lenz.
