Bernice Woodkey is Wed Christmas Day
Ceremony Performed at Home of Mr. and Mrs. Max E. Woodkey at 4 o’clock In Afternoon; Rev. Langholz Peroformed Ceremony
Miss Bernice Woodkey was married on Christmas day to Eldor Mellenthin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Mellenthin, of Spencer, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Langholz of Loyal, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Woodkey, parents of the bride. The home was decorated in holiday attire, a lighted Christmas tree being the main decoration of the Woodkey home. The ceremony was performed at four o’clock in the afternoon.
For the ceremony the bride was attired in a street dress of dusty blue silk crepe trimmed with old beading. She wore a gold locket and bracelet and other accessories in black. Here shoulder corsage combined white pompons and pink snapdragons. Roger Woodkey of Marshfield, brother of the bride attended Mr. Mellenthin as best man.
Miss Dorothy Zwack of Marshfield attended the bride as maid of honor and was attired in a street length dress of dusty rose silk crepe, and wore a corsage of white pompons and pink carnations. Her accessories were in black.
A wedding dinner was served at 6 o’clock at a table decorated with lighted white tapers and a large white wedding cake. Mr. Mellenthin and his bride will make their home on a farm near Spencer. The bride attended the Loyal high school and the groom was graduated from the Spencer high school with the class of 1955. A wedding dance was held at Municipal hall in Spencer Friday night.
