MRS. THEA PEDERSON DIES AT HOME OF SON DIED SUNDAY

 

Mrs. Thea Pederson, aged 94, died at the home of her son, Hans Pederson in the town of Spencer, Sunday, death resulting from a stroke suffered several days before.  Mrs. Pederson is a former resident of Neillsville, having resided there 27 years.  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Co-Op. Funeral home in Marshfield with Rev. Ellery J. Beale officiating.  Burial was made at Hillside cemetery in Marshfield.

 

Mrs. Pederson was born in Kongsinger, Norway, Sept. 27, 1847 and was educated there, marrying Adolph Pederson in the town in 1880.  Three years after their marriage they migrated to the United States, settling in Neillsville where Mrs. Pederson resided until the death of her husband in 1910.  The deceased then moved to Montana, where she lived with her son, Julius, until his death Dec. 14, 1940.  She then lived with his widow there until two months ago when she was brought to the home of her son, Hans, in town of Spencer.  Surviving are the son, Hans; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  Her husband, one son, Julius, and a daughter Mathilda who died in 1918 preceded her in death.
