Geisler, George Francis, Sr. (23 March 1900 – 17 July 2021)
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, at the Jensen Funeral Home in Hixton,
for George F. Geisler, 73, Merrillan, who died Tuesday evening at the Black
River Falls hospital. The Rev. Calvin Carey will officiate, and burial will take
place in the Oakwood Cemetery at Merrillan. Friends may call at the Jensen
Funeral Home beginning at 5 p.m. today (Thursday).
Mr. Geisler was born March 23,1900, at Chicago, Ill., and had worked as a
carpenter. He was married to Naomi L. Cook of Merrillan. He had lived in the
Merrillan area the past 22 years. (and was known to have lived in Neillsville
area.)
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Wesley (Berniece) Stoddard, Merrillan,
Mrs. Wilma Tennant, Merrillan, Mrs. Harland (Frances) Larson, Alma Center, and
Mrs. Leroy (Jean) Stafford, Eau Claire, and one son George Jr., Oak Lawn, Ill.;
two brothers, Jack Geisler, Neillsville, and William Geisler, Los Angeles,
Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Handke, Granton, Mrs. Margaret Turner,
Neillsville, and Mrs. Katy Buddinger, Neillsville; 12 grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren.
