Carrol E. Catlin claimed Miss Marilyn Behnke as his bride during 3 p.m. nuptial rites Saturday, Feb. 1, at Our Saviors' Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. The Rev. Arnold Nelson officiated.

 

The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Behnke of Wallace, Mich., Mrs. Anna Catlin, Loyal, is the mother of the groom.

 

A floor - length gown of white satin was chosen by the bride for her wedding. The fitted, double lace bodice featured a round neckline and was ornamented with pearls.

 

The white satin skirt had an overskirt of net to which lace baskets were appliquéd. Lace panels draped the front and back. Her short veil was attached to a crown of pearls, rhinestones, sequins and lace. She carried white carnations and red roses.

 

Miss Sandra Behnke of Wallace, Mich., was her sister's maid of honor, Mrs. Vernon Catlin, Rhinelander, sister-in-law of the groom was the only bridesmaid. Miss Behnke wore a waltz length white chiffon strapless gown and a lace jacket closed with satin bows. Mrs. Catlin wore a similarly styled dress in blue chiffon. Their headpieces and bouquets were of carnations and matched the gowns in color.

 

Best man for his brother was Richard Catlin of Eau Claire and Vernon Catlin of Rhinelander serviced his brother as groomsman. Ushers were the bride's brother, Jerome Behnke of Wallace, and Melford Catlin Milwaukee, also a brother of the groom.

 

The bride's mother wore a white sheath dress and the groom's mother navy blue. Each wore a white hat and white orchid corsage.

 

Miss Judy Nelson, soloist and organist sang "Entreat Me Not To Leave Thee" by Gounod and, "Crown With Thy Benediction" by Mendelssohn.

 

Dinner was served at 5:30 at the Schultz Arcade, with a reception at 8 p.m. followed by dancing and a late cafeteria style supper.

 

The bride is a graduate of Stephenson High School, Mich., and the groom is a graduate of Loyal High School. He is a salesman for Wisconsin Fork Liftand Crane Co., Milwaukee.

 

When the new Mr. and Mrs. Catlin return from a honeymoon in Chicago and upper Mich, they will live at 9913 W. Lisbon Ave., Milwaukee.

 

Loyal residents and former Loyal residents who attended the wedding were Mrs. Anna Catlin and Mrs. Andrew Lewis, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Herman, and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Schubert, and Mrs. Lloyd Hebert, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Catlin and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Catlin, Rhinelander; Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Catlin, Merrill; Mr. and Mrs. Marion Catlin and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Catlin, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Melford Catlin and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Olsen, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smith, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kuester, Greenwood; and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Davel and Mr. and Mrs. James Davel, Menasha.
