Weinberger, Oscar #2 (4 DEC 1861 - 16 MAR 1917)

This community was greatly shocked Friday, March 16^th, 1917 to learn that Oscar Weinberger had died suddenly at his home that morning.  His health had not been good for some time past, but he had attended to his business regularly and had spent all the previous day at his office.  Deceased was born in Milwaukee and was 55 years, 3 months and 12 days old at his death.  He grew up in Milwaukee and for several years was in business there.  In 1900 he came to Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.) and entered the employ of the Luethe Co.  At Mr. Luethe’s death in 1901 he succeeded to the sole management of that business.  He was a first class man in that line, accommodating, eager to help, ready to give time and go to no end of trouble to help farmers in buying, selling and getting repairs for farm machinery.  He had a group of close friends who society he much enjoyed, his keen intellect, fine sense of humor and good nature making him a most enjoyable companion.

In June 1914 he was united in marriage with Mrs. Florence E. Morley, who survives him.  He leaves one son, William, two sisters, three half-brothers and one half-sister.

Funeral services were held a the home Monday, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating, and the ritual ceremony being conducted by the Free Masons, of which order deceased was a member.  (Republican and Press)
