Tuchscher, William M. #2 (1 JUL 1878 - 9 MAR 1917)
The people around Chili were saddened last Friday when the news came that William Martin Tuchscher had died at 12:50 a.m., March 9, 1917, at the Marshfield Hospital. Cause of death was Septic Peritonitis from ruptured appendix. He was born July 1, 1878, his age being 38 years., 8 months and 8 days. Will was sick since last Octerber when his head and neck pained him. After doctoring for a long while it was decided an operation was necessary and he was taken to the Marshfield Hospital where he underwent an operation for glands on each side of the neck. He was able to come back home, and then was taken sick after being home two or three weeks with appendicitis. He was taken back to the hospital, but the appendix was ruptured before he reached there. All that loving care and best medical care could not save his life. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and one son, a father, two brothers, three sisters, besides other relatives. That such a man in the prime of life with everything to live for, should be taken, is one of the mysteries of life. He was loved and esteemed by all who knew him.
