Humbird (24 March 1966)

Mrs. Arnold Matti was an overnight guest Tuesday of Mrs. Edith Henning in Eau Claire. Wednesday before coming home, she called on Mrs. Harry Wilson. She found Mrs. Wilson now able to walk around in her home and enjoys having friends come to visit her.  Mrs. Henning is not very well and is under a doctor’s care.

Mrs. Ted Polege and Mrs. Fred Theiler were in Eau Claire Wednesday to call on Mrs. Roger Nering and got acquainted with Mrs. Polege’s new grandson, Rusty Allen, born March 15.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Nelson of Eau Claire spent Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Maude Newton.  Miss Susie Joos of Alma Center called in the afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mortenson of Neillsville spent Sunday afternoon with her mother, Mrs. Harry Hanson.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe drove to Loyal Sunday to spend the afternoon and evening with his brother, Ben Clouse, and with the Clouses enjoyed a pancake supper in Spencer.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eglinton of Sparta were Sunday afternoon visitors at the john Sheffer home.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mashin spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. John Greub.

March is a month of many birthdays.  Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Johnston and family and Mr. and Mrs. Otis Dahl and family of Eau Claire, Mrs. Lydia Johnston of Fairchild, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Schroeder and children of Alma Center, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Armitage of Neillsville gathered at the Gordon Gearing home Sunday for the afternoon and for supper, to help Mrs. Gearing celebrate her birthday.

Miss Sharon Harris had all four hub-caps on her car stolen Monday.
