American Legion Auxiliary (Greenwood - 31 March 1966)
The American Legion Auxiliary met Monday evening in the Legion Hall. Mrs. Mike Podobnik, vice president, conducted the meeting. New members are Mrs. Victor Diercks, Mrs. Andrew Djubenski, Mrs. Burnell Yaeger, Mrs. Oscar Meinholdt and Mrs. Vincent Sowieja. It was voted to make a donation to the Chippewa Valley area council on retardation of $36 to send two children to Camp Kenwood, and to contribute $10 to Easter Seals. Mrs. Calvin Franz reported on kitchen and pantry supplies purchased. A letter was read from the seventh district president, Mrs. Christine Zarada of Thorp, reminding members to make reservations for the conference to be held in La Crosse April 28.
Following the meeting a lunch was served by Mrs. George Caliebe, Mrs. Irvin Carl, Mrs. Robert Carl and Mrs. Gordon Christopherson. Games were played and prizes were awarded to Mrs. Peter Scherr, Mrs. Calvin Franz, Mrs. Myron Kenyon and Miss Louise Keiner.
The next meeting will be held April 18. Hostesses will be Mrs. Calvin Franz, Mrs. Lee Corey, Mrs. Lydia Dill and Mrs. E. L. Cook.
