Neuenfeldt, Mabel (7 September 1893 - 6 April 1966)

 

Mrs. William Neuenfeldt, 72, died last week Wednesday evening at the Dairy Bar in Greenwood of a heart attack.

 

Mrs. Neuenfeldt, nee Mabel O’Connell, daughter of John and Mary O’Connell, was born in Beaver Dam September 7, 1893. She was married to William F. Neuenfeldt on January 19, 1913, in Marshfield. They lived in Loyal until they came to Greenwood in 1916, where Mr. Neuenfeldt owned and operated the Greenwood Gleaner until 1945, when his son, Albert, took over. Her husband died February 20, 1961.

 

Mrs. Neuenfeldt was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and its St. Ann’s Society, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Royal Neighbors of America, and the Birthday club.

 

Surviving are three sons, Charles of Spencer, Albert of Greenwood, and James of St. Paul; and 12 grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held Monday at 9 a.m. from the Hill Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  The Rev. Aloysius Baumann officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
