Making their home at Rt. 3, Cadott are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tomkowiak. Married at
Cadott Saturday, Mrs. Tomkowiak is the former Mary Ellen Engum.
Parents of the couple are Wilber Van Gorder, city, and Mrs. John Robinson,
Stanley. The Rev. Mattson officiated at the ceremony. For
the single ring rites, the bride wore a floor length gown of lace and nylon over
satin. The princes styled gown featured lace panels from and back. A
crown of seed pearls and sequins held her fingertip veil. She carried red roses
and white carnations. Her father gave her in marriage.
Attending the couple were Victoria Nelson, Cornell, and Richard Gurits, rural
Stanley. Miss Nelson wore pink nylon chiffon over taffeta with a scoop neckline
and puffed sleeves. A pink picture hat and pink and white carnations with pink
roses completed her ensemble.
Following the ceremony, a reception for about 40 guests was held at the home of
the bride parents. The groom’s mother attended in a navy dress with black
accessories, and a pink rose and white carnations corsage. A
wedding dance was held at the Edson Pavilion. The
groom is employed by the Acme Steel Co., Stanley branch.
