Greenwood (19 May 1966)

 

Representing the Immanuel and Zion Guilds at the "Lay, Life and Work" meeting held Tuesday at the Plymouth United Chruch in Eau Claire were Mrs. Fred Timmler, Mrs. Phillip Vollrath, Mrs. Henry Vollrath, Mrs. Harold Hendrickson and Mrs. Hugh Severson.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Meisner of Racine are the parents of a daughter born May 8.  She has a brother, John, 3.  Mrs. Meisner is the former Margaret Perman, daughter of Mrs. Julia Perman of Greenwood.

 

Mrs. Catherine Lindner and Walter Stabnow, who spent the last month on the west coast, returned here Saturday.  Mrs. Lindner visited her daughter, Mrs. Maurice (Carmen) Neste and husband at Seattle, Wash., and Mr. Stabnow visited at Kirkland, Wash., with his son, Larry Stabnow and family.

 

Mother’s Day guests at the George Humke home were Miss Judy Toburen of Eau Claire, Dennis Humke of Stevens Point, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Toburen and sons, Ray and Bill, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Humke and son, Kurt, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Braun.

 

Mrs. Don Warner and Lawrence Jackson spent Sunday at the Don Telford home in Eau Claire.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart visited in Marshfield Thursday with her brother M. C. Thompson, a patient at the hospital.

 

Mrs. William Toburen returned to Excelsior, Minn., Friday after spending several weeks here with her sons, Erwin and Delmar and their families.

 

Mrs. Walter Swieso spent the weekend in Granton at the Leonard Thiede home.

 

The Birthday club was entertained Monday evening by Mrs. Lee Corey with a 6:30 dinner at the café, followed by cards at the Corey home.  Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Rose Ludwig, Mrs. O. J. Amundson, Mrs. Catherine Lindner and Mrs. James McConnell.

 

The Hi-Spades club was entertained Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Robert Carl.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Milwaukee, Miss Luella Korngilius of Birmingham, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. John Kaudy and daughter Susan, of Stetsonville were guests Monday at the Lewis Kaudy home.
