Nowak, Hedwig (JUN 1898 - 20 DEC 1960) Mrs.
Stanley Nowak passed away Dec. 20, 1960 in a hospital in Chicago. Funeral
services were held Sat. morning, Dec. 24, 1960 at Holy Trinity Church in
Chicago. Burial was in St. Albert Cemetery.
Hedwig Rogus was born in Poland on June 1898, daughter of Jacob and Sophia Rogus.
At the age of 15 she came to this country with her parents and family. On July
9, 1917 she was married at St. Hedwig’s church in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) to
Stanley Nowak of Chicago, where she had since resided.
Surviving are her husband Stanley, one daughter, Helen, Mrs. Robert Firm (?) of
Minneapolis, three sons, Matt, Walter and Ted, all of Chicago, ten
grandchildren, three brothers, Joseph of Thorp, John of Glenview, Ill., and
Peter of Timley Park, Ill., three sisters, Mary Lobacz of Thorp, Kate Antosik of
Burlimayme, Calif., and Victoria Dranginis of Withee.
