Western, Mathilda (12 DEC 1884 - 9 JAN 1961)
Mrs. Mathilda Western, a resident of park Avenue, Stanley, died at her home at 11 o’clock Monday morning after a long illness.
She was born Mathilda Peterson Dec. 12, 1884 in the vicinity of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). She was married to Ben Western Sept. 27, 1913 and they settled on a farm near Stanley, later moving into that city when they retired.
Surviving are her husband; three children, Mrs. Herman (Beulah) Christianson and Lloyd, both of Stanley, and Donald of Boyd; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
