School closed on account of bad roads for 3 weeks.
Roy Breseman and wife of Chili visited her mother, Mrs. Schafer, last week.
Fred Hill and wife and son Glen visited at Emma Brooks’ Sunday.
Frank Davis and Mr. Williams of Granton were out to see Mrs. Nettie Hungerford Monday about renting her farm.
Emma Brooks had a quilting bee Wednesday.
Last Thursday was Larken Club at Mrs. Fred Parmlee’s, and John Davis and Otto Reimer each took a load of ladies and children over. All had a fine time visiting, doing fancy work and listening to music. After a very nice lunch, all went home glad they went.

Calvin Muir and wife were business visitors at Marshfield Monday between trains.
Miss Nellie Hungerford is home from Colby, as scarlet fever closed the schools a couple of weeks.
Mr. Ollois Tuchscher left for New Auburn last Saturday where he has work.
Rubber boots and tapping trees are more in style now than toe slippers and silk stockings.
Felix Schafer and Dan Brooks went to Marshfield Monday to get supplied up to make maple syrup.
