Travinski, John (23 DEC 1875 - 19 JAN 1961)
Father Francis Disher conducted funeral services at St. Hedwig’s Church Saturday
morning, Jan. 21, 1961 for John Travinski, 85, who passed away of old age
infirmities at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Deniszkiewicz at Stanley on
Thursday, Jan. 19th, 1961. The
deceased was born in Poland on Dec. 23, 1875. He came to America in the late
1800’s and was united in marriage to Antoinette Zaborowski in New York City in
1905. She preceded him in death. He
resided in New York, Pennsylvania, Thorp, Wis. and New Jersey before locating in
Stanley in 1952. He is
survived by one step-daughter in Miami, Fla., three brothers, Mike Travinski of
Milwaukee, Chas. Travinski, Northbrook, Ill. and Walter Travinski of Pacific,
Wash; two sisters, Pauline Diver of Lake Geneva, Wis., and Helen Deniszkiewicz
of Stanley, Wis.
Interment took place in St. Hedwig’s Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe
Tobola, Joe Kaminski, Stanley Slowiak, Ig. Przybylski, George Smasal and Paul
Cukla. Out
of town relatives who were here to attend the funeral were Mrs. John Diver and
sons John and Leonard, Miss Amelia Grabowski, and Charlie Travinski of Chicago,
Mike Travinski and Marcella Brodznski of Milwaukee.
