Roder, Amalia (5 July 1879 - 5 June 1966)
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from Zion American Lutheran Church, Town of Grant, for Mrs. Amalia Roder, 86, of Rt. 2 Granton, who died Sunday in Marshfield. The Rev. Evan Dieck officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Roder, a lifelong resident of the Town of Grant, was born there July 5, 1879, and attended its rural schools. The former Amelia Hillert, she was married July 3, 1901, to the late Paul Roder in Zion American Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a son, Walter, of Granton; two daughters, Mrs. Louie (Edna) Breseman, and Mrs. Leland (Esther) Bass, both of rural Granton; and by two sisters, Miss Bertha Hillert of Granton and Mrs. Emma Zipfel of rural Neillsville.
Six nephews served as pallbearers: Oscar Krause, Martin A. Krause, Raymond Zipfel, Martin Hillert, Arnold Nitschke and Carl Roder.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton.
