Bradle, Frank J. (15 JUL 1886 - 11 FEB 1961) Frank
Bradle, age 74 years, passed away at the Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley,
Wis. on Saturday morning, Feb. 11, 1961 of a stroke which he suffered Friday
afternoon. He
was born at Sherry, Wis. on July 15, 1886. He attended school at Marshfield,
Wis. Later his family moved to Laona, Wis., where he worked in the lumber mill. On
Sept. 23, 1913 he was married to Katherine Hickman at Thorp, Wis. They lived
and Hiles and White Lake, Wis. for some time. They then came to Thorp (Clark
Co., Wis.) where they farmed for the rest of his life, until the last few years
when he retired.
Masonic funeral services were held at the Thorp Funeral Home on Monday afternoon
at 2 o’clock, Feb. 13, 1961, with Rev. Cecil Ward officiating. Songs were
rendered by Harold Isenberger of Stanley, accompanied by Mrs. William Boardman
of thorp playing the organ. He
was laid to rest in East Thorp cemetery. Pallbearers were Russell Mead, William
Nourse, Anton Gulczynski, Edward Woodworth, William Klouda and William Wagner. He is
survived by his wife, Katherine and three daughters, Mrs. John (Edith) Godden,
Mrs. Gilbert (Wilma) Alger, Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Brunett, all of Thorp, and nine
grandchildren, five brothers, Edward of Laona, Wis., Joseph of White Lake, Wis.,
Leo of St. Paul, Minn., Leonard of Milwaukee, Wis., William of Marshfield, Wis.,
two sisters, Clara Bradle of Laona, Wis. and Mrs. John Hickman of Thorp, Wis.
