Some of the Brighton 4-H members met at the Ernest Korth home last week Monday evening to get application blanks for the coming year.
A miscellaneous shower was given in honor of Donald Schwantes and Lila Sersch at the Green Parrot Saturday evening. Their wedding will occur next Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cramer, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cramer, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Bruesewitz and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Cramer helped Fred Korth celebrate his 50th birthday Saturday evening.
The mumps are still making the rounds with many new victims the past week.
Mrs. Russell Andrews entertained the Brighton Homemakers club Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Fred Gumz was present to help the club members get started on Red Cross work.
Rob Griepentrog has been employed at the Herman Krause farm.
Phillips Bros. had wood sawers Monday and Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sersch and daughter, Lila, and George and Donald Schwantes were Wausau callers Thursday.
The ladies from Brighton who received mattresses and comforters honored their leader, Mrs. Wm. McNeight, by giving her a party at the Geo. Schwantes home last Tuesday afternoon.
