Mehner, Shirley A. (Miller) (5 MAR 1940 - 6 MAY 2012)

Shirley A. Mehner, age 72, of Dorchester, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

A funeral service will be held at Salem United Methodist Church in Dorchester on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Michael Adedokun will officiate. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Dorchester and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Shirley Ann Miller was born March 5, 1940, in Park Falls, Wisconsin to Clarence and Helen (Davis) Miller. She graduated from Saint Louis Catholic Grade School in Dorchester. After graduation, she did housekeeping until her marriage to Ernest Mehner Jr. on July 25, 1964, in Milwaukee.

Shirley was a homemaker and did babysitting out of her home for a number of years.

Shirley enjoyed bike riding, collecting tea cups and Elvis memorabilia.

She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and Ladies Aid in Dorchester.

Shirley is survived by her father; Clarence Miller of Rice Lake, her children: Matthew (Kelly) Mehner of Wausau and Lori (Jim) Aldinger of Perkinstown, grandchildren; Andrea, Harley and Kendra, sisters; Beverly Wagner of Rice Lake, Lynn Frohna of Springfield, Ohio and half-sister; Marylin of Milwaukee.

Shirley is preceded in death by her mother; Helen Miller, her husband, Ernest Jr., her brother; Terry Miller, and sister; Audrey Querin.

The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Dorchester is assisting the family with arrangements.
