Bremer, Mr. and Mrs. Elwood "Bud" (Silver - 29 July 1966)
Twenty six guests helped Mr. and Mrs. Elwood (Bud) Bremer of Loyal celebrate their silver wedding anniversary at their farm home last Saturday evening.
A mock wedding engineered by William C. Kavanaugh of Greenwood, and presided over by Carl Myre of Loyal, was a feature of the gathering. Included as principals were the bride and groom stand-ins, Neuman Felton and Roy Olson, and the attendants, mike Weyhmiller, in a fetching backless number, and Vern Rogstad, all were appropriately put together and well rehearsed.
Mr. and Mrs. Bremer received several presents, after which the group adjourned to a Marshfield supper club for dinner.
Mr. and Mrs. Bremer were married July 29, 1941, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood by the Rev. John Novak. Present for the anniversary celebration was the maid of honor, Mrs. Richard Deiler of Chicago, the former Kathryn Kitzhaber.
The Bremers are the parents of three children: Mrs. LaMonte (Bonnie) Johnston of Loyal, and Bruce and Brenda, both at home. There is one grandson, Damon Johnston.
