Ammentorp, Evald #4 (2 AUG 1892 - 6 MAR 1961)
Funeral services were held at the Nazareth Lutheran Church at Withee Thursday
afternoon for Evald Ammentorp, who died Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in
Marshfield. The Rev. Beryl Knudsen officiated and burial was made in the church
cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alfred Frost, Christ Frost, Sigurd Sorenson, Harold
Christensen, Victor Jessen and Tony Jensen. Mr.
Ammentorp was born in Denmark, Aug. 2, 1892, and came to America with his
parents as a young boy. He married the former Caroline Damjaar May 14, 1920, in
Nebraska. He served in World War I.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Roy, Milwaukee, Ray, Medford, James, Eau
Claire, and Marvin, Withee; three daughters, Mrs. Roger (Ruth) Wolfram, Eau
Claire, Mrs. Henry (Marion) Haas, Thorp, and Mrs. Henry (Amy) Mauel, Owen; one
sisters, Magna Ammentorp, Grand Forks, N.D.; and 23 grandchildren.
