Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Poler received word Sunday of the death of Mrs. Poler’s
great-grandson, Charles Reichenbach, six, of Black River Falls, Saturday of
bronchial pneumonia following measles. Funeral services were to be held
Wednesday in Black River Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Eden of Poplar Grove,
Ill., left Monday for their home following a week’s visit with area relatives.
They were accompanied by Mrs. Verla Hales, who plans to spend a week at their
home. Mrs. Hales and Mrs. Edens plan to spend this weekend in Chicago, Ill.,
with Mrs. Grace (Rowe) Kennedy, formerly of the Town of York.
Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Worchel and family of Spencer visited Sunday evening at the Otto
Sternitzky home.
Mrs. Nora Embke and Mrs. Minnie Stasiak of Neillsville
visited Saturday afternoon with Mrs. Ollie Poler.

Mr. and Mrs. Holt, Town of Grant, and Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Ratsch of rural Greenwood attended a foeman’s meeting and
banquet given by the Rollohome Corporation in Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs.
Merton Holt and Carol drove to Sheboygan Sunday to spend the day with Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Holt and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Mel Smith, enroute to their
home in Appleton from a week’s vacation in northern Wisconsin, visited Sunday
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Lehmann. They were accompanied home by
their two children, Todd and Simonee, who had spent the week with their
grandparents.
Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Fox of Minneapolis, Minn., were
weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Lehmann.
Weekend
guests at the Marvin Garbisch home were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kirk and family, and
Mr. and Mrs. Noel Kirk and family of St. Paul, Min., and Miss Sandra Kirk of
Clear Lake. The Noel Kirk family also visited at the Rudy Witt home.
Mr.
and Mrs. Leland Garbisch and family spent the weekend in Rockford, Ill., with
her mother, Mrs. Grace Rounds, and other relatives.
Mrs. Jim Kirk and
family, enroute from Marshfield to Prescott, were guests one evening last week
at the Marvin Garbisch home.
